Don’t Forget to Add CBD Oil to Your Grocery List

Many people are becoming aware of a wonderful oil that comes from the hemp plant. It’s called cannabidiol oil or CBD for short.

Scientist have been studying this compound for decades, but they are still finding new uses for it every year. While many people have reported relief from different illnesses, CBD has not been put through the rigorous standards of the FDA just yet. There will be a day where the FDA’s opinion on cannabis catches up to nature’s opinion, but that day hasn’t come yet. Until it does, claims cannot be made about the benefits of CBD oil. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, we can answer your most pressing question.

Is it legal?

Any legality questions about the cannabis industry are always hard to answer. The laws are notoriously vague and I happen to not be a lawyer. Even though I’m not a lawyer and I have trouble spelling lawyer sometimes, it didn’t stop me from doing hours and hours of research.

My findings revealed that CBD oil is legal in all 50 states as long as it is produced from the hemp plant, not marijuana. Hemp and marijuana are both in the cannabis family, but they have very different key characteristics.

Marijuana vs Hemp

Marijuana has a psychoactive compound in it that you are probably familiar with, it’s called THC. THC is responsible for creating the euphoric feeling that is so highly sought after by your stoner friends. We all have a stoner friend or two, but let’s not judge. To each their own. Weed is natural after all. If marijuana didn’t have THC, you would not get high. When you take a drug test, their testing specifically for THC, not marijuana as a whole.

Hemp does not have THC, and that’s what makes it so great. It has the medicinal benefits of marijuana without the high. Weed is not a practical medicine for many people because they can’t go to work high as cloud and with bloodshot eyes. They wouldn’t get any work done, might stink, and would be a huge distraction to the office. Could you imagine a construction worker going to work high? Better yet, would you want your house build by a team of high construction workers? You wouldn’t, would you. What if they were high because they were using weed to wipe away pain from various conditions? It doesn’t matter. They would still presumably do a lackluster job. But that’s where hemp products save the day.

With hemp, they can relieve their pain just like with weed but won’t have to worry about things such as blood shot eyes, getting the munchies, and feeling like a sloth. Hemp is high in CBD and low in THC. It’s not just low in THC, it’s ultra low. It only has trace amounts. It’s so little, it’s impossible to get high and it won’t make you fail a drug test. You can think of hemp as medicinal cannabis without the high. If you want to learn more about the taxonomy of cannabis, checkout this research.

Getting CBD Products

If you live in a conservative state, it might be hard to find CBD products. In California, especially Los Angeles, it’s really easy to stumble upon CBD. Luckily for you, you can order it online from this hemp website. It’s just like grocery shopping online. I order all of my groceries online, so I just add CBD to my list.

When I sit down to order my groceries, I make sure to visit the CBD site and order some of it. I just think of it like a health supplement that you’d buy in the vitamin isle at the grocery store. One day CBD will be in your local grocery store, but that might take a few decades given how slow the government moves. Just be patient, or don’t be patient and order online. Everything I buy seems to be cheaper online so I’m not too concerned with buying it locally.

Buying online gives you the ability to get the highest quality product you can find instead of just buying the one that your grocery store decided to stock this month.

I hope you found this article helpful and you learned something new today. Stay healthy my friends.
